Our Goals

The Goals of the CRF

The CRF works in close contact with the local community, developing long term projects with a high level of sustainability in order to improve the living conditions of abandoned and neglected children. The CRF represents these children internationally. In partnership with the PJC it interacts with the government and local institutions, and through the invaluable help of the local staff promotes the active participation of the children.

Primarily, the CRF was conceived to give continuing life to the PJC. The CRF has embraced the vision, mission and goals of the PJC enough to pledge its financial support to sustain its daily operation, namely: a) administrative expenses covering the salaries and wages and all other related benefits, b) operational expenses for electric, water, building maintenance, office supplies, and c) funding for its various center-based, community-based and street-based programs, services and activities.

Structural factors, like poverty and inequalities are the major obstacles that prevent healthy development for many children under the age of eighteen. The CRF works to eliminate these factors through the implementation of projects which focus on education, health, nutrition, clean water, improved hygiene, re-uniting children with their families, bringing minimum economic stability to the families, protecting the children against work exploitation, protecting against physical and psychological abuse and preventing diseases such as Aids, hepatitis, tuberculosis etc.

The Children's Relief Fund works to

  • Promote respect and valorisation of every child.
  • Guarantee hope for a better future for all children.
  • Awaken a world that will listen to the children and learn from them.
